Living in the Volunteer state, we truly believe that the work of the ministers is to equip the saints for the work of ministry.  Which means every member of our church serves in some capacity.

Volunteer FAQ

Member Ministry

We believe in the power and purpose of member ministry.  That our church is here to serve God through serving one another and the community.  
For this reason, you must be a member to serve at First Baptist Gatlinburg.  The Membership process is simple!  It all starts with getting to know us through a 4-week Membership 101 class.



Heart for kids?

For those who have a love of helping little ones grow in faith, we would love to have you join our team.  For the safety of our little ones we require our volunteers to have attended our church for a minimum of 6 months, be members, pass a background check and be ministry safe certified.

Volunteer with Music

There are may ways to get involved with the worship ministry.  Whether you would like to join the worship choir,  play an instrument, or present a special song, or work with our audio visual team, we would love for you to join us.

Heart for students?

For those who have a love of helping youth connect to the word of God and one another, we would love to have you join our team.  We require our volunteers to be members, pass a background check and be ministry safe certified.
